In Memoriam
I wrote so many emails to Louise recently and I didn't know she is not here anymore. I have just found out. I am crying and writing this In Memoriam.
Listening to her words and watching her gentle face in this video (see link below) about her first trip to India and meeting BKS Iyengar in the early 70s and inviting him to Europe, it is breathtaking. She was outstanding.
She was my idol, someone I only recalled and immediately felt connected to.
There was no way I can describe her properly. I really wished you all met her, especially those who love yoga like I do.
She was a dancer, she wore white socks, she was an Osteopath, she was someone who wrote down in my final teacher training test: Aleksandra has a natural authority.
That explained unexplainable, that comforted me in the tough times of yoga business, that gave me confidence and motivation to keep going.
Yoga is my passion and it definitely became my vocation because of Luise.
Thank you, Luise!
You brought BKS Iyengar to Europe, you were one of his first European students and certified teachers. You were kind, courageous, gentle and clear.
You are everything I wish I can become.
„Meine Reise über diese Erde ist vollendet.
Ich danke euch allen für die vielen schönen Begegnungen
und werde im Herzen mit euch verbunden bleiben."
